We can use low-cost methods like online surveys and remote usability testing if the budget is tight.

It’s also important to set realistic expectations. UCD doesn’t mean we have to implement every piece of feedback we receive. Instead, we prioritize feedback based on its impact on the user experience and feasibility within the project constraints. This approach allows us to make the most of the resources available while still creating user-centered designs.

Consider a scenario where we are developing a new feature for an existing medical device. The deadline is tight, and the budget is limited. In this case, we might conduct a few quick user interviews and create simple mock-ups to test the concept. We gather feedback, make necessary adjustments, and iterate quickly. This approach allows us to stay user-centered without compromising the project timeline or budget.
