Chad Herremans, co-founder and VP of Operations & Quality
Chad started in manufacturing nearly 20 years ago. He’s held many roles across the industry including operations, new product introduction, process engineering, product design and development, program management, and he’s had a long successful career in quality. Chad has an innate ability to balance customer needs with regulatory requirements leading to a pragmatic and value driven, risk-based approach to Quality and Operations at Meddux Development Corporation. Chad has a complete understanding of the product life-cycle from concept through commercial manufacturing and is proud to work with customers in developing custom tailored strategies and solutions. Chad holds a B.S.in Chemical Engineering from Western Michigan University, and is certified as a quality auditor from the American Society of Quality.

Another critical challenge is effectively managing suppliers. This involves qualifying suppliers, conducting regular audits, and ensuring all materials and components meet required standards. Proper supplier management is critical for maintaining the quality and reliability of the final product.
A robust CAPA system identifies and rectifies non-conformances. This system involves investigating root causes, implementing corrective actions, and monitoring their effectiveness to prevent recurrence. Developing and maintaining an effective CAPA system requires a proactive approach and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Companies must ensure that all personnel involved in the QMS are adequately trained and competent. Regular training programs and competency assessments help maintain high standards and adherence to QMS procedures. However, developing and delivering effective training programs can be time-consuming and resource-intensive.
